The gel supports natural wound healing by creating a moist environment that is protected from infections.
The special formula of the wound gel ensures optimal moisture supply to the wound and forms a protective barrier against bacteria. This protective layer prevents microbes from penetrating the wound, as they are inactivated within the gel. Octenisept wound gel protects against (new) infections and inflammations. In this way, natural wound healing is promoted and accelerated.
The gel’s special composition ensures:
- sufficient moisture to support natural healing
- effective protection against infections and inflammations
- painless and user-friendly application, even on sensitive skin areas
Interactions: When used with oil dressings, the gel may dry out, making it more difficult to remove the dressing. Should not be used with soaps, ointments, oils, enzymes, etc., intended for wound cleaning, as this may affect preservatives. Should not be used with PVP-iodine, as it may cause discoloration and inhibit the antiseptic effect of PVP-iodine.
Usage: After an injury, disinfect the wound and then apply a thin layer of gel to the wound. If necessary, cover the wound with a bandage or plaster. Apply the wound gel 1–2 times a day until the wound is completely healed. For hygienic reasons, the tip of the gel tube should not come into contact with the wound or other surfaces.
